Hisense has announced the appointment of David Gold as its new President of Hisense USA and Hisense Americas.
Gold replaces Alex Zhu, the former president and CEO of Hisense USA, who has been promoted to the new role of President of Hisense International. Additionally, Yunfang Feng was appointed Senior Vice President of Hisense USA, and will oversee Supply Chain, Customer Service & Administration.
"I'm incredibly proud to be a part of the progress we've made at Hisense alongside Mr. Zhu and honoured to take on a larger role in the company's success," says Gold. "We prioritized product quality and performance in the U.S., and that focus has proven highly effective. Hisense has grown to be a leader in the U.S. consumer electronics market. I aim to maintain that momentum by expanding the brand even further across multiple categories, streamlining operations, and continuing our deep commitment to innovation, quality, and performance."
Gold joined Hisense in 2011 and played an integral role in the company's rise to become a top-three brand in Mexico. There he oversaw the product and channel strategy as well as the efforts to develop the brand as a leader in the local CE & HA categories. In 2018, Gold was promoted to vice president, consumer electronics at Hisense USA.
In Gold's new role as President, he will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations across all product categories as well as set the long-term strategy for the region and the expansion of Hisense's Home Appliances' product lines.
"Hisense USA has reached exciting milestones in recent years and plays a significant role in our success as a global brand," says Dr. Lin Lan, Executive Vice President of Hisense Group, Chairman of Hisense International. "His appointment as President is a further step in the transformation of Hisense into a global company. Mr. Gold will be responsible for the operations and growth initiatives in our most important overseas market, and I look forward to the progress and new accolades that his leadership and experience will undoubtedly bring to the company."
