LucidSound announced a full roster of premium headsets at the E3 Electronics Entertainment Expo, including the new LS31 and LS41 wireless headsets, the eSports-developed LS25, and the Xbox-licensed LS15X and LS35X.
"The LucidSound team is a renegade group of gamers gathered from the top gaming headset companies in the industry who are focused on innovation and determined to reinvent the gaming headset," says Chris Von Huben, CEO of LucidSound. "Our focus is on exceptional comfort, outstanding sound quality, durability, clear chat communication, and easy-to-use controls."
The Microsoft-licensed LS15X and LS35X are two of the first gaming headsets designed for Xbox One that directly connect to the console without the need for cables or a base station. They connect directly to the console in the same way as an Xbox One Wireless Controller, and configure automatically. Each pair features intuitive and easy-to-use volume and mute controls using a unique system that seamlessly integrated into the aesthetic design of the headset. Designed for long-play sessions, they feature custom tuned drivers with neodymium magnets that provide deep bass and clear highs. They support Windows Sonic for Headphones and Dolby Atmos for headphones (download required).
The LS25 is made for the competitive gamer, with an over-ear design offering immersive sound isolation. Also designed for long play-sessions, they use advanced memory foam ear cushions that conform to the individual user and offer superior comfort. Intuitive and easy to use volume and mute controls use a unique system which is integrated into the aesthetic design of the headset. The dual microphone design offers a flexible boom mic for intense online gameplay. Remove the boom mic to use the integrated mic for mobile use. With a custom tuned 50mm speaker with neodymium magnets, the rugged design allow players take it on the road. It is compatible with Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android smartphones, and mobile gaming devices, such as the Nintendo Switch.
As the next generation of LucidSound's best-selling headset, the LS31 features upgraded drivers and amplification that the company says delivers purer audio with less distortion. The oval earcup design is now easily replaceable and crafted for a more comfortable experience with increased noise isolation. The flexible boom-mic features improved pick up accuracy. Upgraded build quality consists of a more flexible headband, and ‘phones that are more pliable and comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions.
The LS41 Wireless Surround Headset (shown above) replaces the LS40 headset, delivering DTS Headphone:X surround sound across a range of platforms. It includes all the improvements in the LS31 plus advanced gel-cooled memory foam earpads. It also has a higher capacity rechargeable battery that improves running time to over 20 hours.
The improved USB transmitter design is now flexible, allowing for improved placement when connecting to the host console.
