Vizio's P-Series line of 4K HDR Smart TVs are now officially available in Canada, along with its new 2018 Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos.
The P-Series TVs feature a bezel-less industrial design, 4K HDR picture quality enhancements, and smart TV and smart home capabilities. They include Dolby Vision HDR, up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and over one billion colours thanks to Ultra Color Spectrum.
They are available with Vizio's 2018 SmartCast OS for accessing streaming content, and with voice control for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Additional features include Active Full Array Pro backlight with up to 120 local dimming zones; UltraBright 1000 for up to 1,000 nits of brightness; Clear Action 720 for motion clarity during fast action content; and a 240Hz effective refresh rate, achieved through backlight scanning.
Offered in 55", 65" and 75" class sizes, they range in price from MSRP $1,400 up to $3,500. They join the flagship P-Series Quantum 65" Class 4K HDR Smart TV, which also just launched in Canada for MSRP $3,500 for the 65" model. https://www.wifihifi.ca/LatestNewsHeadlines/VizioLaunchesP-SeriesQuantum4KHDRSmartTVs,2018SmartCastOS,inCanada.html
Complementing the TV is the new 2018 Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos, which will be rolling out to Canadian retailers later this fall. They will come in three configurations, each of which features independent upward-firing speakers that deliver up to 10 channels of sound from every direction.
The 46" 5.1.4, 46" 3.1.2 and 36" 5.1.2 Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos feature up to four Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers that reflect sound off the ceiling, allowing listeners to hear a range of subtle sounds that are often missed with conventional audio setups, says Vizio, such as birds fluttering overhead, or thunderstorms and helicopters swirling above.
The left and right channels provide wide-ranging sound, combined with a separate centre channel that helps reproduce clear dialogue, and a wireless subwoofer for bass. Surround sound speakers complete the system, along with the added upward-firing speakers.
Boasting a simple, plug-and-play installation process without the need for additional components, such as receivers, amplifiers, or other cables, the three configuration options are designed to complement a variety of television and room sizes. The sleek, industrial profiles maintain a clutter-free atmosphere and aesthetic, says Vizio.
With Google Chromecast built-in, Vizio's Home Theater Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos also allows users to stream music from any Chromecast-enabled audio app, including Spotify and Google Play Music. By tapping the Cast button or downloading the free SmartCast Mobile app, users can turn a mobile device into a touchscreen remote to stream music directly to the home theatre sound system or sound bar. The latest audio offerings ship with a remote to control basic functions.
An additional soundbar offering includes the 36" 2.1 Sound Bar with Built-in Dual Subwoofers, which has two internal subwoofers paired with four deep bass modules. Ideal for rooms with limited space, it can complement TVs sized 40" and larger. It includes Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:S sound enhancement; and is Bluetooth-connected.
