URC has launched the MXHP-R700 handheld remote for MX HomePro; has expanded MX HomePro system control to eight zones; and has introduced a new Sonos-certified two-way module.
"URC integrators and consumers wanted a more fully-featured remote control to elevate the MX HomePro user experience," says Lars Granoe, Vice President, Product Development at URC. "Delivering on our commitment to providing best-in-class products that are backed by industry-leading support, the R700 incorporates a backlit hard button keypad and tabletop charging cradle, plus many other premium features."
The new programmable Wi-Fi handheld remote has a 2" LCD with custom onscreen menus, and employs an ergonomic design that includes a backlit keypad, intuitive layout, and finger grooves. It can display live video from compatible surveillance cameras when used with the URC Z-Wave gateway.
The R700 features a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, charging cradle, and onscreen battery indicator. It retains its battery charge for up to four days of normal use after a full charge.
The new Sonos two-way module, meanwhile, allows for simple and reliable control as part of a fully-integrated MX HomePro system. Features include volume control, grouping of Sonos players, access to Sonos favourites, and advanced automation. The module carries the "Works with Sonos" badge, attesting to the quality of the certified integration.
The cloud-based MX HomePro system delivers whole-house entertainment and smart home control, including integration with thousands of available Z-Wave devices. Sold exclusively through the custom installation channel, MX HomePro systems are professionally designed, installed and serviced. MX HomePro integrates with Amazon Alexa, Bose, Heos, Honeywell, Lutron, Nest, Philips Hue, Roku, Sonos and more.
