The new flagship 7 Pro from OnePlus booasts a 6.67" Fluid AMOLED display, HDR10 and HDR10+ video, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, making it the most premium device in the company's line-up.
The AMOLED display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 516ppi, and 90Hz refresh rate. HDR10 and HDR10+ provide subtler gradients and richer details to supported videos.
With an ultra-slim profile that includes tapered edges on both the front and rear of the phone, the OnePlus 7 Pro is powered by the latest mobile platform, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, with up to 12 GB of RAM. RAM Boost, meanwhile, learns from usage habits and intelligently allocates available RAM to memory-intensive applications, compressing the loading processes.
First introduced on the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition, Warp Charge 30 charges a battery-drained OnePlus 7 Pro to up to almost half of its massive 4,000mAh battery in 20 minutes. With the power management shifted to the Warp Charge 30 adapter instead of the phone, the OnePlus 7 Pro can charge at Warp Charge 30 speeds even under intense loads.
With OnePlus' most advanced and capable camera setup, the rear cameras feature a 48MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP 78mm telephoto lens at f/2.4 and 1µm pixel size and stabilized by OIS, and a 16MP 117° ultra-wide angle lens at f/2.2. A new three-pronged autofocus system intelligently uses PDAF, CAF and Laser Focusing methods to produce crisp images in daylight and in lowlight, says the company.
Equipped with a stereo dual-speaker system with a powerful amplifier, OnePlus worked closely with Dolby to ensure a satisfying audio experience. The left and right sound channels were fine-tuned to allow intricate details to be heard.
The strong X-axis motor provides multiple levels of haptic feedback and virtually zero delay for a more tactile experience. OnePlus has upgraded the cooling system on the OnePlus 7 Pro as well, with liquid cooling to allow the device to remain cool even after prolonged and intensive use.
"We constantly challenge ourselves to give people the best experience possible," says Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus. "A great user experience should enhance your life instead of distracting you from it. I'm so proud of what we've built with the OnePlus 7 Pro and can't wait for others to try out the display."
The OnePlus 7 Pro will be available on May 17 in Nebula Blue and Mirror Gray at OnePlus.com, starting at US$669.
