Screen Innovations, which makes various AV projection screens and indoor/outdoor shades for the custom integration market, including both residential and commercial dealers and integrators, has confirmed that it will be going direct in Canada.
The Austin, TX-based manufacturer, which was previously distributed in Canada by Precor, now has a team of independent reps and firms to service dealers across Canada, and assist in the reorganization.
"I have been listening to the Canadian dealers loud and clear, you want to be part of the SI family," writes SI CEO and founder Ryan Gustafson. "With our new shade technology, now is the time to deepen our direct relationship with our Canadian partners, giving you the same sales, support, and service U.S. dealers receive. This will be a very fun time! Welcome to the family, Canada!"
Gustafson promises a variety of new services specifically for the Canadian market, including dealer-direct shipping, factory direct sales and support, a new dealer locator on the Website, new demo program, and a new weekly webinar. There will also be a forthcoming factory trip invitation to the headquarters in Austin in late 2019, as well as new Canadian dealer pricing coming soon.
Going forward, Screen Innovations will be repped by Warren Press of The Press Agency (email@example.com, (403) 401-4278); Sam Schwartz of Ebony Tristar (firstname.lastname@example.org, (416) 527-0307); Frederic Bourgeois of The Rep Firm Canada (email@example.com); and Gary Toombs of GET Marketing ((250) 470-8708). Additionally, SI will work with the Canadian AVAD branch locations in Calgary and Toronto to stock, warehouse, and distribute SI's most popular projection screens to fulfill immediate orders of standard SKUs.
"Precor has been proud to represent Screen Innovations in Canada for the last 10 years," says Precor's Bob Priestman. "We started with them when it was just two guys sitting in front of a curtain at a CES show. Since then, we have paralleled their growth to become a major player in the high-end screen business in Canada. We wish SI and the team all the best moving forward."
Screen Innovations was founded in Gustafson's garage in 2003, and, over the last 15 years, has grown to become a leading manufacturer of projection screens and related technologies, including Black Diamond, purported to be the first multi-directional, ambient-light-rejecting projection screen technology.
One of SI's latest products, announced in October and first shown at CEDIA Expo in San Diego in September, was an ambient-light-rejecting Short Throw (ST) screen material, available for the Solo Pro.
