On June 1, 2019 ReSource Group Canada celebrated its 25th Anniversary and commemorated the event with a gala at the Millcroft Inn and Spa in Alton, ON.
Attending alongside the ReSource Group team were many vendor partners, several of whom traveled from the U.S. and other parts of Canada.
"We have evolved from road warriors to consultative sales partners," said Brian Stanojevic, COO, while sharing his thoughts on the evolution of the company team. "ReSource Group Canada has invested in people over the past five years thanks to an ambitious training program facilitated by Teneo Results and the CPSA. The results have been an exceptional increase in sales and high staff retention."
Jeremy Lenk, President reflected on the growth of the company from a small sales agency located in the home of founders Claus and Heather Lenk, to today's multi-faceted operation that includes a sales division under ReSource Group Canada, a merchandising division under Sell Through ReSources, and an online division under Connected ReSources. Today, the company is working in all Canadian provinces as well as the U.S. Lenk also shared about the expanded vision and values that include integrity at all levels and giving back to the community.
Awards were presented to Fujifilm Canada as a Special Vendor Partner Award (ReSource Group has partnered with Fujifilm since 1997), Curve Distribution as Vendor of the Year, and Dennis Pinargote as ReSource Group Canada Team Member of the Year.
Giving back to the community, which is one of the core values of ReSource Group Canada, was very much part of the message of the evening. Habitat for Humanity shared the story of providing homes for families in need and was presented with a donation of $25,000 from ReSource Group Canada. Yonge Street Mission shared about its work in eradicating poverty in Toronto and the focus on mental health. ReSource Group Canada presented a donation of $20,000 in support of the Yonge Street Mission Walk-in Counselling Clinic.
Claus Lenk, CFO and Founder, talked about the 25 years of change, the growth of the company, diversification, the need to be nimble and, in particular, the values of integrity and giving back. He expressed his appreciation to the team, in particular for Jeremy and Brian, now leading the company through this next phase and expanded vision. Claus reiterated the commitment of the company to philanthropy and introduced a special 25th anniversary El Salvador project. In February of 2020, Claus and Heather, with the help of Habitat for Humanity, will lead a team to build a home for a family in a village in El Salvador.
The evening ended with a special award to honour Claus and Heather Lenk for founding the company 25 years ago, for their hard work in ensuring success, and their leadership in "giving back" and making philanthropy part of the DNA of the company.
ReSource Group Canada, Connected ReSources and Sell Through ReSources are owned by LLS ReSource Management Group Inc., founded in 1994.
