Toronto-based ReSource Group Canada is gearing up to celebrate its 25th year in business on June 1, 2019, and continues to drive growth with new brand partnerships and personnel appointments.
"2019 marks our 25th year in business, and we have invested heavily over the past 12 months to transform our business to meet the changing needs of the retail market," says Jeremy Lenk, President and CEO. "We have invested significantly to engage with exciting new technologies from new emerging brands in new exciting product categories.
Two of ReSource Group Canada's latest partnerships include Royole and Square Panda. Royole, manufactures human-machine interface technologies and products using advanced flexible displays, used in its own line of smart writing pads, mobile home theatres, and the FlexPai foldable smartphone, which garnered a lot of attention at CES 2019 this past January.
Square Panda is a cloud-based AI education company focused on helping children aged 2-8 develop language/reading skills. The company's tactile multi-sensory learning system can been used to promote learning during screen time. The products start at $80.
ReSource Group Canada has been focusing on the education market, having partnered with a number of brands in the STEM tech toy space, including Kano, which offers DIY coding kits that help kids as young as six build and code their own computers; UBTech Robotifcs, which makes the line of intelligent humanoid JIMU robots.
Another new brand in the portfolio is Rocketbook, which offers reusable digital notebooks that work with standard Pilot Frixion pens and the free Rocketbook iOS and Android app. The app has optical character recognition and blasts notes to popular cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, box, OneNote, slack, iCloud, e-mail, and more. They start at $22.
Additionally, ReSource Group Canada has added two new team members to support its growth. Macky Rebelo has been appointed Director of New Business Development, responsible for launching new brands, products, and categories at retailers across Canada. Ryan Escalante, meanwhile, joins the company's B.C.-based team to spearhead new and emerging brands at Best Buy and other key retailers.
