Racepoint Energy Acquires Noon While Savant Partners With Netgear

Racepoint Energy, sister company to Savant, has acquired Noon Home, including its residential lighting control innovations.

The acquisition of the Campbell, CA-based company will enable Racepoint and Savant to deliver lighting and intelligent control solutions to their dealers. Racepoint and Savant based in Osterville, MA, This acquisition will expand their lighting control offerings, including the addition of Noon's unique keypad style to the Savant keypad lineup.

Noon entered the smart lighting market in 2017 with the Noon Lighting System, and currently offers a complete lighting control platform that can be discovered, configured, and controlled with a single app experience.

"The experience and expertise of the team at Noon will enable us to design unique solutions, making advanced energy and lighting automation available for a broad range of smart home projects."

The integrated Racepoint Energy and Noon team will continue to focus on designing unique product and software solutions that can be sold into both the custom installation and distribution channels. Early development initiatives will include integration into the Savant smart home ecosystem.

In other news, Savant has enhanced its existing partnership with network products and services provider Netgear to offer the full suite of the company's networking solutions to technology integrators. This exclusive arrangement will make products and services available to integrators, enabling them to improve efficiency for any job size while creating new opportunities for the custom installation market.

The objective of the alliance is to create networking solutions that are optimized for the Savant smart home ecosystem, streamlining design, installation and service processes for integration professionals. Additionally, Savant and Netgear are working on a strategic roadmap of new products and services exclusive to and optimized for Savant. Through this partnership, integrators will gain access to 24/7 system design and support services.

"Savant and Netgear have joined forces to reduce the cost and complexity associated with home automation," confirms Vikram Mehta, Senior Vice President of SMB Products for Netgear. "Our role in this strategic partnership is as follows: first, Netgear is engineering networking products specifically for home automation applications; second, we're integrating the management of our products into Savant's management framework; third, we're providing technical support and training to the Savant community of integrators; and finally, we're supporting Savant's efforts to offer pre-set solution bundles for certain job types to make purchasing our products directly from Savant more seamless for integrators."

As a Savant Recommended Partner, Netgear will offer "best-in-class" solutions for all aspects of networking, including wireless, routers, mobile hot- spots, SMB products (Small Medium Business), gaming solutions, and more. Both companies are committed to exhaustive testing, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance between their respective platforms. Savant and Netgear are also collaborating on their cloud-based management platforms (Savant SCM and Netgear Insight) in order to provide network monitoring and management capabilities.
