WiFi HiFi is saddened to announce the passing of Barry Ritter, who spend several decades in the consumer electronics industry, most recently heading up his own rep company Impact Sales and Marketing. Barry passed away on May 1, 2017 in Vancouver, BC.
Barry began his career in consumer electronics as a store manager for Steintron International in 1972, later moving on to be the national general manager for the company. He established his own sales and marketing agency BLN Enterprises in 1982, and later in the early 2000s launched Impact Sales and Marketing. Both agencies represented many well-known brands in the industry.
"Barry was passionate about his work and valued the people he connected with through it," says his wife Myrna. "He always said that he would continue to work until the day he no longer enjoyed it. Unfortunately, health issues arose and he was forced to retire several years ago, earlier than he hoped to.
"Barry will be remembered for his dedication and the attention he provided to those he worked with, while truly having people's best interests at heart. Barry was the utmost professional, genuine and a real ‘authentic' individual who was driven to provide the best outcome and well-being for all parties."
Barry is survived by Myrna, his children Andrew and Leah, and his stepchildren Simona and Michael.
Donations in Barry's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
