B2BQuotes, a matchmaking platform that brings together clients looking for services like digital transformation, web development, video production, training, SEO, marketing, CRM/ERP, and app developers and suppliers like agencies and freelancers is making a push into English Canada to support an increase in project demand.
The company, which started operations in Quebec in 2017, already has a roster of 2,000 suppliers and has matched them with thousands of client projects, says the firm. Currently, about 15% of B2BQuotes suppliers are from English Canada, but the company is looking to build that base in response to an increasing demand on the client-side.
"It has been a particularly tough time for agencies and freelancers recently," says Mathieu Plante, Founder and CEO of B2BQuotes. "With the move to more online sourcing of suppliers during COVID-19, we have had an increase in projects that need filling in both French and English Canada."
Both clients and suppliers are vetted by B2BQuotes. Once a project is approved by the platform, suppliers receive notification of the opportunity that details the job parameters and budget. Suppliers are matched to the work request via an algorithm that determines the three best suited service providers for the posting. Clients do not pay for posting jobs, but suppliers pay a referral fee to access curated assignments.
"It's gratifying to provide freelancers and agencies with a platform that helps them connect to more work," says Plante. "To date, B2BQuotes has connected clients and suppliers with more than 3,700 projects worth more than $30,000,000."
