In a letter to dealers, Lenbrook has announced that it is ceasing distribution of Bang & Olufsen products.
The letter, signed by Jeff Earl, Product Manager, Lenbrook Americas, states that "effective September 6, 2019, we will no longer be involved in the distribution of Bang & Olufsen."
The letter explains that "new leadership at the helm of Bang & Olufsen" has resulted in a shift in B&O marketing strategy. The company will apparently be focusing on more "shop-in-shop" programs and "mono-brand" presentations.
"It has been our teams' utmost pleasure helping launch and grow the Play product portfolio in Canada (along with a little involvement in the US)," says Earl. "We are proud of the mutual success we have experienced with the Bang & Olufsen brand, which we know was a result of working with valued partners such as you."
Earl notes that Lenbrook has been involved with Bang & Olufsen "for many of the past 35 years." In fact, Lenbrook helped launch the B&O Play brand, and has been part of that venture since early 2014.
