Legrand has unveiled the Nuvo P30 touch screen system controller, a 7" Android tablet housed in a customer enclosure that runs the existing Player Portfolio app.
Customers can use the device in hand to control devices via the Android and iOS apps, or in-wall.
In addition to being the access point for system control, the touch screen will run popular streaming services and apps, including Spotify, Pandora and more. You can also access and play music stored on networked devices in the home through the Player Portfolio system.
"The Nuvo P30 touch screen and Player Portfolio app offer intuitive easy in-wall control of the whole home audio system," says Walt Zerbe, Product Manager for Audio at Legrand. "If you're simply adjusting the source and volume for a relaxing night at home, or playing DJ for a gathering of friends and family, it's right there."
"The in-wall control option," he adds, "is especially convenient for muting or lowering volume quickly when there's a knock at the door, or allowing immediate access to preset source favorites without searching for a phone or tablet."
The touch panel has a high contrast 1,024 x 600 IPS capacitive screen and a sleek design that Legrand says can blend easily into any room's décor. Installation is simple via the included mounting plate. Connection to the Player Portfolio system is made via a single RJ45 802.11af PoE connection.
The Nuvo P30 touch screen will be available in March for an MSRP of US$349.
