The LG V30 smartphone, which was revealed at IFA 2017 in Berlin, and introduced to WiFi HiFi at a press event in New York City this summer, now has an official Canadian launch date: the device will arrive through Canadian carriers starting October 20.
Among the V30's key features are a 6" OLED FullVision display spanning edge-to-edge, front and back tempered glass that curls around the edges, water- and dust-resistance, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, HDR 10, an F1.6 aperture and glass lens for the 16MP and 13MP wide-angle camera (5MP front camera), Cine Video mode with Cine Effects with 15 different presets, from romantic comedy to summer blockbuster, Point Zoom, and more. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform and Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and has a 3,300mAh battery, with support for wireless charging. It works with Google Assistant and Daydream as well.
The LG V30 will be available in cloud silver through Rogers, Fido, Telus, Bell, Freedom Mobile and Koodo Mobile (online only), as well as through Best Buy Mobile, WIRELESSWAVE and TBooth Wireless.
