Epson America, Inc. is adding a pair of new models to its growing EcoTank line, the ET-M3170 and ET-M1170, both of which are wireless monochrome all-in-one Supertank models that offer cartridge-free printing.
The new series of printers allows high print volume small business and home office users to save up to 75% with low-cost replacement bottles versus mono laser toner, providing additional savings when added to a multi-printer environment, says Epson.
Powered by Epson's PrecisionCore printing technology, the EcoTank wireless black and white all-in-one Supertank printers offer cartridge-free printing with easy-to-fill, supersized ink tanks and enough ink to print up to 6,000 pages with each ultra-high-capacity replacement ink bottle.
Featuring fast first page out speeds with virtually no warmup time and lower power consumption versus laser, the printers are able to speed through short print jobs while saving energy.
Additional key features include a 250-sheet paper tray, auto two-sided printing, an EcoFit bottle design uniquely keyed for easy filling, wireless printing from smartphones and tablets, voice-controlled printing via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri, Wi-Fi Direct, and Ethernet.
Compact and space-saving for small or home office environments, the printers also feature copying, scanning, and faxing capabilities, with 35-page ADF on the ET-M3710 model; a rear tray for specialty media; colour touchscreen (on the M3170); and a two-year limited warranty with registration.
The Epson ET-M3170 and ET-M1170 black and white printers will be available exclusively through Staples online and in Staples Canada stores starting June 21 for MSRPs of $540 and $360, respectively.
