Sol Republic is showcasing five new headphones at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, marking the revival of its audio brand, and a new integration with smart Bluetooth tracker company Tile.
The first new product in the line is the Shadow Fusion wireless headphones, which include Tile integration that uses Bluetooth LE so you can track the headphones' whereabouts using the Tile mobile app. You can wake up the device with flashing LEDs and play a tune from them until they are found. It will also indicate within the Tile app the last location Bluetooth pairing was activated on the headphones to help retrace your steps.
As an upgrade to the brand's popular Shadow Wireless headphones, the new ‘phones are made using integrated flexible knit-tech fabric that enhances an ultra light, foldable collar. The earbuds are magnetic. They will sell for a MAP of US$130 when they become available in February 2019.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Tile for 2019," says Sol Republic's Director of Product Development, Josh Poulsen. "Integrating Tile technology into our products, starting with the Shadow Fusion, is another way we are taking the brand to the forefront of quality and performance. SOL will continue pushing boundaries through 2019 with a full line-up of stylish, wireless audio products loaded with technologies and brand firsts such as ANC within both our
over-ear and true wireless earbud models."
The Soundtrack on-ear headphones are foldable, and provide high-quality sound with extended deep base and a 30-hour battery life. They come with microphone and on-board controls, and will sell in July 2019 for a MAP of US$150.
The Soundtrack Pro ANC (MAP US$200, October 2019) are over-ear wireless headphones that offer up to 24 hours of battery life with ANC and Bluetooth or AUX line in, or up to 48 hours with Bluetooth only. They have 40mm drivers, and memory foam Sonicsoft ear cushions.
For a MAP of US$200 and available in October 2019, the Amps Air+ true wireless earbuds offer digital ANC with ambient environment awareness, improved fit, stability, and technology. The sweat and element proof design (IPX5) allows for active listening with a five-hour playtime and slim case providing up to four charges.
And finally, there's the Freestyle Wireless active in-ear wireless headphones (MAP US$80, July 2019),
Have elliptical fins crafted from silicone with multiple fitting options. Offering up to eight hours of battery life, they are rain- and sweat-resistant (IPX5), and a microphone.
