BB Distribution VIP Expo Postponed

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, BB Distribution has confirmed that it will be postponing its VIP Expo.

The decision was made due to the glowing impact of the coronavirus on production, parts procurement, shipping, and product delivery mixed with port bottlenecks and Canadian rail disruptions.

This year, BB Distribution marks the 10-year anniversary of the Expo and Installer IQ School 8.0, which is plans to re-launch when most appropriate and product deliveries and sales success can be ensured for partners, says the company.

"The BB Team is proud of what we have built over this past decade and we look forward to bringing together our dealers and vendors with our world class industry event building business, partnerships and delivery knowledge rewarding the people who consistently support BB Distribution year after year," says Dave Berry, owner and CFO.

As it stands, the BB team and its vendors will still be on hand at the Canadian Mobile Audio Expo, which is scheduled to take place in Toronto from April 5-7, 2020. In addition to attending the event, BB Distribution is also a major sponsor and will be exhibiting with its vendor partners, including Mobile Solutions, Metra, Scosche, JVC, SiriusXM, Autostart, and more.

"BB Distribution continues to invest time, energy, and resources to ensure the CMA Expo will be
fun and knowledgeable for all our dealers, partners, competitors, and the industry as a whole," says Jason Haberman, Director of Sales and Marketing. "We will be hosting our highly regarded
and popular TEK TraX at the CMA Expo and we are looking forward to supporting and seeing
everyone at all the upcoming shows and training events."

BB Distribution will be hosting the TEK TraX - an experience in technology, entertainment,
knowledge and training - at the CMA Expo on Monday April 6. Early Bird Pricing for registration
ends March 15. Dealers can register online.

The CMA Expo has also secured a group reservation at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre. Group rates go for $173 per night. BB will be assisting with hotel room expenses for dealers. The official cut-off date is March 13. After this, any remaining unused rooms will be released. While many larger, global trade shows have decided to cancel, including Mobile World Congress, Munich High End, Axpona, Facebook F8, Google I/I, South by Southwest, and, most recently, E3 Expo due to coronavirus concerns, many smaller, local or Canadian-centric events are still going on as planned. The Montreal audiofest will take place as scheduled in that city at the end of March. While the marketing conference DX3 Canada, which welcomes about 3,200 visitors annually to Toronto, shut down on its second day, it was due to a Globe and Mail report that revealed a man who had attended a much larger event the week prior, held at the same venue, tested positive for COVID-19.
